The central part of the church was constructed by 1843 to the designs of an unknown architect –
Striking building with a dynamic facade of contrasts between the white concrete panels with their subtle angles and the vertical strips of windows.
Shortlisted for the Massey Medal in 1964.
Opened in 1966 as Ireland’s first shopping centre.
