Designed by Thomas Turner, the Town Hall was built in 1859 by McLaughlin &
Fine smaller country house with conservatory and prominent central chimney stack.
Aughentaine Castle consisted of a two-storey main block and a lower two-storey wing,
A small severe-looking church, the interior of which has sadly been ruined by modernisation.
The original church on this site was completed in 1860,
