The International Rugby Experience was constructed as new cultural institution and visitor experience to honour the worldwide game of rugby.
Built to replace an idiosyncratic building,
Officially opened in April 2024,
Commissioned by Monaghan County Council,
Dublin City Council refused planning permission for this six-storey 24-bedroom boutique hotel on a site at Shelbourne Road as the scheme would constitute over-development of the site.
Published in the Irish Builder, July 15, 1922, after the total destruction of the building in an event that ultimately led to the Irish Civil War.
