The former Birks Jewellers building on Portage Avenue has a neo-Egyptian theme of terracotta decoration.
Designed by Victor Daniel Horsburgh who produced over thirty branches for the Canadian Bank of Commerce.
Constructed to be the Administrative Offices of the National Sanitarium Association.
Demolished and replaced with a taller building of less architectural merit,
