The Cathedral of St.
Lethbridge House Hotel was built in 1885, at the corner of 5th Street and 2nd Avenue South,
Designed by local architect James Chisholm as mixed retail and office space for merchants Edward and Annie E.
The first plan dates from 1839 but the work on the building’s structure was conducted between 1841 and 1865,
Now replaced by the massive Shriners Hospital For Children and closed in 2015.
The Bank of British Columbia is a three storey Italianate Style building on the corner of Government and Fort Streets.
Designed in 1885-86 to replace a building that was not yet thirty years old,
The Parliament Building (Hôtel du Parlement) is home to the Parliament of Quebec composed of the Lieutenant-Governor and the National Assembly.
