1961 – Commended design for new Library, Trinity College Dublin
Architect: Malcolm Quantrill, Peter Faller, Howard Mason
Judged blind, design no. 179 was commended for its library planning. “The plan, utilizing a square form and uniform modules, is most efficient. All reader and staff areas are in excellent functional relationships. The location of the goods entrance and dispatch areas is particularly good. The utilization of a balcony or mezzanine for administrative offices is an ingenious conception.”
