1992 – Torre de Communicació de Collserola, Barcelona, Spain

Built for the Barcelona Olympics, this tower by Norman Foster & Partners was a competition winning entry to centralise the communications equipment which was spread all over the mountaintop. The tower is 205 metres high and anchored to the ground via pre-tensioned cables. It has thirteen platforms containing equipment – curved triangles in plan.
