ParticipantHi
I’m looking to get Vectorworks for Mac, any version as far back as 2008 would be fine. Buying new is well over 1000 euro not including VAT. Is there anyone out there who can sell me a second hand package or advise on getting the best deal for a new one? I’m also looking to get the latest version of Artlantis as well…new or second hand would be considered.
Many thanks 🙂

InactiveAre you absolutely sure that transfers of software licences is permitted by the
original software vendor ?It’s better not to get any respectable struggling member into trouble here with
these tempting fly-casts of propositions unless the procedure is quite legitimate . . . - June 30, 2010 at 4:38 pm #813155

InactiveI’ve never bought software due to working with companies who bought and supplied them, therefore I’m on a learning curve in this regard.
I’m looking to get a copy of Vectorworks and Artlantis but at approx €2000 it is out side my budget by a country mile. So other than illegally downloading them for €0 I’m wondering if anyone could advice me on alternative packages that are very similar but far more affordable.
Thanks

InactiveYou haven’t addressed the main point here.
Why not first establish if existing licenses may be traded ?
It’s always better not to get yourself (or someone else) into trouble
for the sake of asking the software company one question.Failing buying a s/h copy or paying the full whack for a new one,
have you asked them about arranging finance so you may pay
by instalments ? - July 6, 2010 at 11:55 am #813157

Inactive“I can’t belive it’.
Just spent 30mins writting up a post in relation to my experience in buying, Vectorworks and Artlantis but lost it all because this site logged me out and I didn’t save my text. So I’m none to happy.
Anyways if you want info on either package post here and I’ll share my experience.

InactiveIm probably gonna get slaughtered here for these words, but my advice don’t buy Archicad as its no where near the quality of Vecotrworks.

Inactivecan I just chime in the opposite here, having used ArchiCAD, Vaectorworks and AutoCAD extensively in various offices/college, in my opinion ArchiCAD is by far a surperior package to Vectorworks… just my two cents…
