Can I just say that I hate bloody bollards! What is the point of these things. When did they suddenly become essential items of street clutter. The latest useless installation of bollards can be foun on Custom House Quay either side of the DB stands. Why???

they’re there because double yellow lines don’t physically prevent people parking and we good civic minded Dubs require actual physical objects to be put in the way. See Westland Row – in fact cycle up it and see how many pedestrians end up being forced onto the cycle track in front of you. They are a bloody nightmare and a major obstruction to movement in the city. It may be time for Guerilla chainsaw action

on a related point the automatic bollards in temple bar and south anne street that arent used are in bits, one is neing used a cigarette butt holder.
can they not be removed as they perform no useful function?
I’ve seen a few snapped in half… It hurts humans a lot more!
