Distance Between Buildings/Site offices

I was wondering would somebody be able to help answer this question for me? I can’t seem to find any information on the relevant regulations anywhere.

I am currently in a 2nd floor apartment which faces out over a building site across the road. Site offices for the building site have been placed on a girder frame over this road. This means that these offices are now less that 2 meters away from my window thus blocking light into my apartment.

I understand there is a legal distance between buildings (which I also can’t find information on) but is there any regulations for temporary structures like this?
