ParticipantI recently went on a ‘back stage’ tour of this lovely old building, dating back to 1897.
(Tours take place each Friday at 2.30p.m. for the price of €5.00)
An excellent guide showed me around, explaining the history, architecture and facilities (old and new).
I saw the original box office dating back to 1897, still complete with gas lamp and of course like all old buildings, I learned about the ghosts.
A most enjoyable and informative way of spending an hour in such a beautiful building. - March 23, 2009 at 2:45 pm #806589
