KeymasterDublin City Council and Point Village Ltd have come together to develop the Point Square as a new civic and public space for the city. A design competition will be organised by the RIAI along with Dick Gleeson, City Planner, Dublin City Council, inviting expressions of interest in submitting designs for this innovative and novel venture. A working brief will be sent to all who apply.
The space will be designed to host free rock, jazz and trad shows as well as drama, monster ceilis and dances, political rallies and events of every kind including a large weekly produce market. A giant screen to show movies and simulcasts of sports events will also be featured. It will be managed by Aiken Promotions. An exhibition of the shortlisted entries will go on public display at the Civic Offices. Please send an email to Karina O’Neill, Competitions Officer, RIAI to express your interest in taking part in the competition – koneill@riai.ie
