      I am a sole practitioner architect and currently have a small project – change of use of a 2 story building from residential to commercial with a few minor internal alterations.(circa 200m2)
      I have received a quote from a fire consultant to prepare fire cert application which I think is quite high. I usually deal with much larger jobs so am not sure how much this should cost.
      Can anyone give me a ballpark of what they think it should be?

      Most probably easier to do the cert yourself

      thanks – quote was a lot less than €5k so probably was competitive.
      Unfortunately I’m not up to speed doing them myself so I outsource.
