No. 7 Eccles Street

I did a quick trawl, and while I found some photos and other odds and ends (including a 3-D computer simulation of the house, which I couldn’t open on my work computer), the info you require eluded me.

Have you asked David Norris? I suspect he could chew your ear off for a week on the subject.

no 7 was the fictional abode of joyces leopld bloom,the doorcase and door was salvagd and ended up in the bailey pub on duke st.when the bailey was taken over by marks and spencers it was presented to the joyce mueseum on nrth great georges st .
luke gardiner jr is said to have been respnsible fo the devolpment of eccles st in the early 1770s.the street consisted of around 80 houses.they were mostly occupied by the upper classes of the time.

And are you just looking to answer the questions you posed in your first post- architect, builder, owner and date?

Peter Pearson included this photograph of Eccles Street (including no. 7) in his ‘The Heart of Dublin’ and I think diddler has already quoted the most relevent text.

There is a range of houses on the opposite side of the street that look identical, you might see if you could get access to one of them, if it’s the details of the construction and layout that you’re interested in.
