ParticipantHi, can anyone advise on radon barriers? We are in this house 10 years and have had water seeping up through the french pine floor in one room for a long time. We thought that a pipe burst but on lifting the floorboards were horrified to find that the radon barrier protruded through the underlying concrete floor and was leaking water. The protrusion is a 1mt long fold of the barrier which rises from the floor about 3cm and is cut along its length. A so-called expert advised that radon tape would fix the issue. He applied it and we replaced our rotting floor. However, the problem has recurred and it appears it is also affecting an adjoining room too (the floor tiles are lifting). Any ideas where I can go to get help and advice? Many thanks.

or relay the floor with another layer and tank the floor/walls a messy job…honestly I don’t have a clue its impossible for someone to comment unless you provide loads of photos and even then its your decision and risk…

InactiveThanks folks – excuse my ignorance on these matters but what does “tank it” mean? Are there any companies that you could recommend to do such work?
