ParticipantRoyal canal park development adjacent to the railway(new ashtown station) and the canal. Development by ballymore properties. A major development with the town centre beside a planned marina. The new town centre in which a 16 storey tower is planned. Overall Development is fairly lowrise, at least the development is starting to build high rise appropriate for a city. Town centre renders below.

Inactivewhen I looked at this thread, I thought it was about the linear park at the City Center end of the Canal. I am pleased to hear about the high rise developement but, there is no point in having high rises in Suburbs like Ballsbridge and Ashtown when a high rise can’t even go ahead in the City Center or the docks

I dont know whether the developer has applied for permission or has got permission yet. Most suburbs are either planning or have completed a high rise developments e.g. blanchardstown, sandyford and tallaght. Is it not the norm to have high rise developments in suburbs, in cities dublin can compare to???
