lecture / talk tonight
Message: Hello, My name is Darren Mooney. I’m currently the Censor of the Historical Society in Trinity. We’re the oldest undergraduate society in the world and the largest in the college. Throughout the year we organise events for students and interest groups, including guest interviews with a wide variety of figures. This Tuesday at 8pm, we are hosting Christopher Janney, the renowned American architect famous for his “sound sculptures”. It’s sure to be an interesting night. The meeting is open in case any of your members might be interested in attending. Mr. Janney has created interactive sound and light installations for airports in Dallas, Boston, Miami and Sacramento and is currently lecturing at Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture, The Cooper Union, New York, NY in “Sound as a Visual Medium”. The interview is at 8pm on Tuesday the 1st of May in the Graduates’ Memorial Building in Trinity College. It’s being filmed for City Channel. Hopefully this might be of interest to you and I would be delighted if you could pass it on to your members. More details at http://www.thehist.com. Yours sincerely, Darren Mooney, Censor, 237th Session
