ParticipantI am looking to learn about architectural rendering. I am currently a self-employed designer doing work for kitchen & bedroom manufacturers and interior designers. I currently use ArtiCad for these drawings, but recently have had requests from customers to do more detailed renderings. I’ve looked into two software packages: Autodesk Revit and 3d Studio Max. Basically i’d really appreciate advice on how to move into this area of work, it really really interests me. I’m wondering if I should do an AutoCad course first?
Looking forward to your responses!
Thanks,
Colin. - July 11, 2006 at 12:34 am #782850

InactiveHi Architect m.o.,
Thanks for your response. 3d Max definately looks the best option. I dont want to go into it producing average drawings, i’d like it to be as realistic as it can get. There is a two day course on 3d max starting in August, but was wondering if i should do an autocad course first? How long do you think it would take on average to get really good using 3d Max?
Thanks Again!!

Please don’t buy into this inhuman consumerist blather which is the reason there’s a huge economic crisis in the first place.
