ParticipantI know that there are very basic rules needed to run a site like this, and on the whole it is very well run…However just a mo ago there was a new thread, and allbeit started by a newbie, the thread could have been of interest, offering as it did some miracle construction material called xxxx ( self-censored:p ). Maybe it would transpire that there would be no merit in it 😮 , but in fairness Mods, do you not think that if so it would become apparent fairly quickly – and if not, other contributers would soon call for it to be cut? I notice now that the thread on neighbours living in caravans appears also to have disappeared.
In fairness the last week has seen unnecessary threads on one-offs and suchlike, but at the same time cutting too much may be counter-productive. The cuts made seem unneccessary; such threads die a death fairly quickly – as the caravans one did – and was most humours with a last post showing a caravan perched on top of 2 poles:D However even during that thread, when I said it wasnt really a planning matter, I metioned a general disucussion forum by name – and this post too was subsequently altered! And then there was the case of the Fr Pat Noise thread, which in fairness, was rehosted after some grunts by me among others. For those of you (and I repeat you, ie Mods:p ), that removed the thread as it was considered pointless, that thread too died a death after it had amused!
Point being, normally an excellent job is done in running this site, but might the recent edits have been a little bit zealous?
Just a thought –
H

ParticipantThat was my post and I appologize if I pissed anyone off.
What I am looking for is to meet and discuss the possibilities of a new construction material we’ve developed that is just starting to find distributors. I am not trying to sell anything per se. Rather looking to see what kind of intest Ireland may have in looking at something new and to see if I can find people who may interested in distributing it in your wonderfull country. Since this forum is dedicated to architecture I felt people here might be interested in this new product.
