Building Studies???

Yet again I have to pick your brains and would greatly appreciate any help that can be given!
Looking for info on the construction/architecture of modern residences as appossed to dwellings during the Victorian/Georgian era. Any ideas on where a good place to start would be??

Also need to know a good place to start as regards getting info on housing policy in Ireland. There is alot of info out there but it seems to be a bit all over the place. Any ideas on this??
