      Hi

      could anyone recommend a very basis CAD system that a non architect (me) could use to play around with

      Am considering building an extension, but we arent sure what we want / what it would look like, and my badly drawn sketches dont help !!

      any help would be great

      Not sure to what level of detail, but sketch up might be a good idea, very quick tutorial, and very easy to use, can download a trial from http://www.sketchup.com, this will make a rough 3d model,

      Thank you for your advice – seems ideal for my purpose ie get a rough idea before we consult an expert.
