May Day city centre clean up

I noticed on the way to work today how all the sites I passed in the city centre have been totally cleaned up. Anything loose or useful in a riot removed.
The Luas contractors said they were under orders and were removing rebar and paving from beside the courts. The loose paving stones etc around the kiosks on Gratten Bridge are removed and even the extension of the payment on Nassau St. has stopped and all sign of work there removed till after the weekend.
Very thorough work indeed, pity city centre works can’t always be this clean. Then again it’s not every weekend that the city is going to be overrun by 200 anarchists.
The place looks sparkling especially with the large flower boxes that have appeared everywhere. Wonder how long they will last.
