KeymasterIreland’s 10 best young architects
The DublinerA brief feature on what one magazine thinks are the best young architects currently working in Ireland. As the publishers say, its “rather arbitrary and bound to irritate, but an effort, nonetheless, to celebrate talent.” FKL, Howley Harrington, Henchion & Reuter, heneghan.peng, Tarla MacGabhann, Hassett Ducatez, Bucholz McEvoy, Dominic Stevens, Tom de Paor, Boyd Cody are the architects and firms featured.

ParticipantBrilliant. They’re all mates. They all take turns being head of the AAI. They frequently pass awards around to each other like smarties. And now one of them is after infiltrating the heady heights of the dubliner magazine. Good for them.
Incidently i know or am associated with at least one person from each of those firms. I’m off to namedrop all over town 🙂

You do have a pointCan i get that blown up and framed? 😉
The AAI is very much self-serving and most members and also the former presidents i know would admit as such, just maybe not in public. No harm though. We are a small nation and a fairly tiny architectural community.
I love Dominic Stevens house with the concrete fence posts used as vertical enclosure. Genius, and very beautiful
