InactiveI would like to know as well. Whoever designed it did a great job.
It is equally good inside as out. It was also a very difficult site to plan for as it comprises what were cottages and back gardens on both sides of a laneway.
It will be very interesting to see how the ceramic finish ages over time.

KeymasterI love the blue finish – fabulous splash of colour.

InactiveIt really is, I love that area there are some great buildings.
When you look at the Mespil Hotel as it is and compare it to the old Dept of Labour there is no comparison. Also 4 Burlington Rd the New EBS offices are quite smart, and a real improvement on the former that was occupied by IBM.
But the blue ceramic is streets ahead in terms of an office building in every regard.

KeymasterSaw those EBS offices for the first time today as well… look well, nothing groundbreaking but ordinary decent architecture.
(Got a real nice abstract shot of the EBS building and a tree)

KeymasterIt’s a very sexy material, especially used in such a tight space – I think it would lose impact if it was in a large office park.
