Looking for old & environmental architecture

Hi,
I’m visiting Ireland and I am very interested in Old Architecture, Environmental Architecture, Sustainable Architecture, City Planning and any combination of the above. I’m looking for just about anything but some of the most exciting would probably be old vernacular architecture that was suitable for the climate it was built in and old architecture that has been retrofitted with modern environmental technology. But I’m looking for just about anything, also if there are any other interesting environmental efforts in Ireland I’d be very interested in those. If people could give me advice on what they would reccomend seeing, visiting, etc that would be great.
