ParticipantThe Ha’penny Bridge’s railings are filthy dirty, after being restored only a couple of months ago. As usual the lack of maintainance crops up again. Have the City Council never heard of a pressure washer? I’d do it myself, only I’d be kicked over the side by it’s resident homeless (a bit of irony there). It’s surface is also coated in manky chewing gum, ‘Millenium Bridge Syndrome’ as it were.
WAKE UP CITY COUNCIL!!!

ParticipantPerhaps they’ll do it in the summer when the weather calm down a bit..its the rain that causing the dirty railings I’d say.

ParticipantIt’s just the filth thrown up by feet of pedestrians, all up the lower part of the railings. It has been building since the end of last summer, and nothing has been done about it.

ParticipantHow about a Singapore-style ban on the sale of chewing gum for 6 months? Just to impress on the citizenry that gum is a nuisance if not disposed of properly.
And a flogging for anyone caught bringing a few sticks into the country.
