ParticipantHas anyone got any info on the above. Living this side of the Irish sea, I haven’t seen much on the subject.
Thanks in advance.

ParticipantMmmm, soaring over O’Connell Street by September, I don’t think so, maybe Sept 2003. Nice foundations though!

Inactivei dunno, gregf said on another post that a strike in france where the steel was being rolled was holding the whole thing up so i guess thats the reason for the delay…
…guess they’ll need a pretty tall crane while putting it in place seing as its supposed to be twice the height of liberty hall ?

ParticipantWhenever you walk past they are lowering stuff into the hole. I think they made the hole too deep and when they are ready only the last 10 metres will be sticking up. In retrospect it is a pity we didn’t choose Michael O’Nuallain’s recreation of the Millenium Falcon and togetehr with the long library Dublin could be a center of Star Wars tourism, if there is such a thing.

ParticipantThere is of course a center of Star Wars tourism – Tunisia. And on an architectural theme too – check out the Troglodyte houses in Mamata and the grannary at Ksar Hadada.

I think these are totaly unique to Tunisia. And they look great on film too.
