Am looking for advice and ideas on building a swimming pool. We live in the foothills of the Wicklow mountains.
The site is southfacing with a view of Mount Leinster.
We have converted and renovated an old farmhouse and its out-buildings which flank either side of the house. The swimming pool would create a courtyard.
We do not wish to lose the view from the house. With this in mind we are thinking of digging down and then creating a low level glass structure with alluminium supports. I would be very interested in talking to anyone who has been involved in building private pools, in a modern sympathetic way…
