It doesn’t look temple bar-ish at all… now call me a cynic, dont all rush at once, but does it not look like your bog standard commercial development – throw in a few aspirational items like boards, a boardwalk with cafes and you have a sales pitch…
its a sales pitch… how much of it will be built? the bits that make the developers money
“…and heritage facilities.” yeah like in Smithfield….
“A small hotel and multiplex cinema are also being considered as part of the plan” – yeah right, and will be discounted if we cannot make any money from it….
Don’t equate nice computer 3-d views with reality, hell I could make Liberty Hall seem like the 8th wonder of the world in a computer rendering…

Keymasterit is indeed time for a holiday… the sights of Paris and the Loire valley await me in August…. so expect photos of chateaux and more parisian buildings on this site…

ParticipantWell, its got to be said that Edward Developments are responsible for some great projects in Galway – the Mixed use Edward Square for one and the currently under construction apartments / retail on the Dublin road….

ParticipantAye…… .the proposals for Drogheda are’nt that bad……and although Temple Bar falls short of the Utopian urban dream, (due to uncontrollable factors as well)….it’s initial intentions meant well ….to enhance the fabric of the city of Dublin……and the proposals for Drogheda town can only do more of the same.
