Anybody know whats happening with the old Gasometer site on Barrow Street? I thought An BP had given the go-ahead for an apartment development there, or am I mistaken? The place is an awful eyesore, especially when you pass it on the DART.
What about another Zoe scheme, the one on South Bank Road, with a 30 storey tower as a centrepiece. I’ve seen pictures of the proposed development, and it looks reasonably good. Its an ideal place to put a high-rise building too. So anyone have a progress report on it? Has it stalled in our tortuous planning system, or what?

Would a thirty-storey building there not compete with the fairly nearby power station chimneys that are so visible from all over the city? I’m not sure of their height however, and I suppose Zoe’s last effort at Charlotte Quay has turned out quite alright, if a little reminiscent of Belfast.
