ParticipantThe Triangle site at Ranelagh remains in an incomplete state. Having safely demolished the public toilets, and built, over a long period, a projecting spur of pavement, they now seem to have abandoned the site. That is except for three plastic barriers, still there.
AIB have erected fortifications around the Bank, railing and gating a small car park.
There also seems to be very high turnover in the cafes here, two seem to be vacant at present suggesting that trade here is not good.

ParticipantHi,
I think there’s going to be a ticket station for the Luas at the triangle, something to do with not having enough room for one at the bridge station. I honestly thought that those old public toilets would have been a protected piece of architechture, but I guess not. should we be happier that there’s an empty piece of pavement there instead???

ParticipantHave you noticed that the “customer parking ” places are now for taxis only ?
What about the community? Between that and the bank building themselves a barrier to their customers, what is there as a coomunity focal point ?

Participantsee http://www.fklarchitects.com/ranelagh.htm for how it was supposed to be – it looks like the Roads Dept got their way instead
