Watched this for the first time on RTE 1 last night.

Two rooms – no plumbing, electrics, odd shaped corners, uneven walls etc, just smooth virgin plasterboard

Design a bathroomRidiculous programme, if I had a perfect square space and no limitations, I could design a mind blowing bathroom too, but unfortunetly I live in the real world.

I think not.
alas, you and I, being poor flawed mortals as we are, may only look in amazement at the creative solutions offered by this elite…
some day friend, we too may be beyond that hall door…Godspeed.
I don’t know if I’d call it ‘masturbation’…
more like the rape of a space. It’s no wonder the public at large are so guilty of tasteless and bland interiors, when they are constantly being told that the products of the aforementioned ‘challenge’ are ‘interesting’ and ‘beautious’!!!It could be a lot more innovative and introduce designers who would at least try and address the area given as a spatial challenge in itself.
But then the real challenge would be to find ‘Interiors Consultants’ from Woodies DIY capable of rising to the occasion…….
