ParticipantAnyone see the master plan for the north docks……What a yawn! …….only one tower of considerable height for a focal point and standing all alone like Liberty Hall….. the rest all low level …..too low for the width of the river and making no impact whatsoever. Overall very conservatively boring….. ZZZZzzzzzzzz….. and what a missed opportunity to do something radically outstanding.
Cheers DDDA and all involved …….what a boring grey bunch! - January 31, 2001 at 4:01 pm #715677

KeymasterTerrible isnt it, the only area where something can be donw interesting without conservation lobbies and they opt for 7 storeys in height?…..
what a boring city Dublin of the 21st century will be…..

Keymasterthats what Frank McDonald reckons as well….
“Maximum building heights along the riverfront have been set at seven storeys, thus ensuring Dublin will ‘dribble away into the bay’, “
