InactiveStumbled across this site very recently and only because of a mention in the computer / internet press rather an architectural journal.
I just want to say how disappointing it is that we still only have columns about architecture from Frank McDonald (The Irish Times) and Shane O’Toole (The Sunday Times) in the mainstream press. Where is the Independent group of newspapers? Do people think there is no demand?
While the contribution of Frank and Shane is brilliant (especially Shane’s fortnightly articles), I think that anyone with an interest in architecture in Ireland is ill-served by the traditional media. The “journals” (Plan and Irish Architect) contain poor sycophantic articles in lieu of decent criticism.
Suggestion: There’s an opening for a good weekly column on this website IMHO which could create a lot of interest and discussion on these boards.

ParticipantIf there were regular columns here, it would be the Architectural Press in Ireland.
Whats the traffic like here now? I’ll bet the visitor numbers far surpass any print run.
