ParticipantOn the subject of historic sites, what about the Wax Museum on Granby Row, and the suggestion by Pat Liddy in the ltters page of the Irish Times last week that there remians in fairly good condition behind the modern facade, the exterior of an 18th Century Church. I’ve never heard this one before, anyone else know anything about it?

InactiveI saw that article too in the paper.I remember seeing a photograph of the original building. It resembled a minature like GPO I think. It stated in the article that the walls of the existing structure which is horrible could be removed to reveal the original building. All it would need is a replica portico re-instated. I would fully agree if this were to happen.

ParticipantThis is interesting, and very odd. The existing building looks disgusting so this would be a good gesture. It is for sale as well as faras I know

InactiveWhoever buys the site will stuff it full of tiny apartments, so I doubt if anything of what is there at the moment will be retained.
