1898 – Design for St. Augustine’s Church, Nottingham
Architect: Arthur Marshall
Not constructed – a rather unusual design was completed instead 1920-23, by architect John Sidney Brocklesby. “This church is shortly to be erected on a somewhat limited site in the Woodborough, Nottingham. The building will be built of local bricks and red Corsehill stone. The interior will be faced in stone. The plan explains the general arrangement, but it may be noted that the rapid fall of the street lends itself to the provision of the necessary vestries under the chancel. Mr. Arthur Marshall, A.R.I.B.A., of Nottingham, is the architect. The drawing is on view at the Royal Academy Exhibition.”
