Camphill Secondary School was considered one of the finest classical buildings in the West of Scotland. Originally to be called Victoria School, it was designed by Paisley architect Charles Davidson at a cost of £23,000 after a competition attracting 23 entries. It was the largest school in Scotland and among the largest in Britain, Closed in January 1968 and demolished in 1969.
