1889 – Design for National Guard Armory, Worcester, Massachusetts
Architect: Fuller & Delano
This castle-like design was a common element of National Guard armories in Massachusetts built in the late 19th century, and similarly imposing structures from the same time period can be seen in Springfield and Boston. Largely as completed although the tower has been shortened. Published in the American Architect and Building News, May 4 1889.
