Panoramic perspective view of a proposed new building of Admiralty Arch for east end of The Mall. Slightly different from the building as completed, notably the bronze statuary over the arches. Webb, who also designed the Victoria Memorial and the new façade of Buckingham Palace at the other end of the Mall. A triumphal arch and also a government office building, it is asymmetrical with the right wing of the building having one floor more than the left one. Completed in 1912. Until 2011, the building housed government offices, including the residence of the First Sea Lord, and was used by the Admiralty. Grade I listed and due to become a hotel.
