1906 – Somerset Building, Winnipeg, Manitoba

Sadly now missing its cornice and more elaborate shop fronts, the building has been extended upwards, gaining two floors at some stage. Without a cornice, the building is curiously banal and lacks any real presence at streetlevel or as your eye travels upwards or along the street.
