1875 – Town Hall, Chorley, Lancashire

The townhall which is in the Italianate style with a symmetrical main facade with a tall tower above the main entrance. The main doorway has a bracketed pediment containing a carved tympanum. After most council officers and their departments relocated to the Civic Offices in Union Street in the late 20th century, a restoration was carried out. This included added universal access, restoration, and modernisation. It includes a magnificent ballroom, known as the Lancastrian.
