1901 – Science Building, University of Manitoba, Memorial Boulevard, Winnipeg
Architect: George Browne
Part of the original Broadway campus at 200 Memorial Blvd in downtown Winnipeg before the move to Fort Garry. Built at a cost of $63,140.87, it was formally opened in 1901 by the Duke of Cornwall and York, the future King George V. After the construction of the Buller Building at Fort Garry, the department started to move out of downtown to buildings on the new campus. A cornerstone dated 1900 was moved to the concourse connecting the Allen, Parker and Armes Buildings in the Science complex on the Fort Garry campus. Later demolished in 1963, the site is now Memorial Park facing across York Avenue to the Cenotaph.
