One of the earliest examples of the Edwardian Baroque in Canada. Sharing design similarities with other later buildings designed by the Chief Architects Branch of the Department of Public works including post office buildings at Moose Jaw and Vancouver. Demolished in the late 1930s to make way for a new Federal Building.
