Doulton grey terracotta dressing. Small in scale but with this central tower has real impact. A symmetrical three bay front, with central double panelled doors under fanlight flanked by banded Ionic columns which support lintel with inscription. The interior has a fine toplit space with dome. Still open as a public library. Originally run by Lewisham Council, it was transferred to the community to run in 2016. Now known as the Archibald Corbett community library, arts and heritage centre. Listed Grade II.
