Subtle small-scale Art Deco commercial building built as a fur retailer – and known as the Hurtig Fur building for many years. This building is faced in Tyndall stone with simple incised Art Deco motifs. The Winnipeg Free Press described it as “the first example of true modern architecture in Winnipeg. Green, Blankstein, Russell and Ham later became Green, Blankstein and Russell.
