1953 – Lincoln Towers, 33 Kennedy Street, Winnipeg, Canada
Finished in the ubiquitous stock yellow brick beloved of Winnipeg apartment builders, this variant on Kennedy Street is notable for two things – its height, most are three to four storeys – and the painted shallow concrete projection. Currently painted to look like copper cladding, it is a subtle way to break up what would have been a fairly monotonous façade.
