1965 – Sherbrook Inn, Winnipeg
Architect: Duncan Rattray Peters Searle
Originally opened as the Westminster Motor Hotel, it has a single storey commercial frontage on Sherbrook Street, over which was an outdoor pool. The four-storey block contains the rooms but was constructed so that more floors could be added. The basement level contained conference rooms of various sizes. As can be seen in the architect’s rendering, it was also envisioned that a multi-level parkade would be constructed, connected to the hotel by a walkway.
