1924 – Design for First Church of Christ Scientist, Belfast

Design published in Academy Architecture and Architectural Review 1924, the church was constructed in 1936-7 to a design in a vaguely Californian mission style. Truly an odd building for Belfast, the complex was started in 1922; with the school built in 1923, the house in 1928, and finally the church. The building is reminiscent of his work at Portmeirion in Wales. Now Iglesia Ni Cristo.
