1896 – Competitive design for Belfast City Hall

Competition entry with Lutyenesque central tower by Alfred Gilson Humphry (1868-1928) and William Bonner Hopkins (1868-1958), who don’t seem to have been in partnership – possibly a collaboration only on this competition. Illustration published in The Builder, April 1 1899. The design by Sir Brumwell Thomas was selected and the building completed in 1906.
