1901 – Brunner Mond Cricket Club, Nantwich, Cheshire

When chemical giant Brunner Mond was celebrating its 25th anniversary and the owners John Brunner and Ludwig Mond decided to build a club for all their workers. Construction started in 1898 and it was formally opened in 1901. Brunner Mond later became part of ICI.
